Privacy

Daddish LLC, a North Carolina company, runs daddish.com, the Daddish emails, and the Daddish apps, starting with DaySet. This policy is written in plain English on purpose. “We” means Daddish LLC, and “you” means anyone who uses any of them.

The short version: what you put into Daddish is yours. We use it only to run Daddish for you. We don’t sell it, we don’t advertise with it, and we don’t let AI providers train on it. Google Calendar access in DaySet is read-only, and we keep only yesterday through the next 14 days. Daddish apps never read your email.

daddish.com and Daddish emails

If you sign up through the form on the homepage, we collect the email address you submit, along with basic signup attribution (for example, that the signup came from the Daddish homepage). The site asks for nothing else.

Email signups are stored and managed by Beehiiv, the platform that processes Daddish subscriptions and sends Daddish emails (see Beehiiv’s privacy policy). Your address goes straight from this site to Beehiiv through a server-only integration. It is never placed in a signup URL. Every email has an unsubscribe link that works immediately. We don’t run analytics or advertising trackers on this site.

Daddish apps: what we collect

When you use a Daddish app such as DaySet, we collect:

• Account details: your email address and, if you choose, your name. If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive the email address and name that provider shares.
• What you put in: tasks, projects, goals, areas, plans, journal entries, captures (text, links, photos, and voice recordings), readings, bookmarks, and your preferences.
• Your household: if you invite others to share a household, the members’ emails and whatever they add.
• Things you connect: Google Calendar (see below); Apple Calendar and Apple Reminders in the iPhone app; and your own AI agent, if you connect one.
• Collected automatically: standard service logs (IP address, browser type, times, errors) to keep the apps running and secure; first-party product events such as “a day was closed,” so we can tell whether the apps help; and, if you turn on notifications, a device token so we can send the reminders you asked for. We don’t use third-party ad trackers.

For Apple Reminders, DaySet reads only the lists or tags you pick. The only change it ever makes there is marking an item complete when you complete it in DaySet, and only for items DaySet brought in. Your own AI agent (for example Claude or ChatGPT) can read and add to your Daddish data only within the permissions you grant. You can revoke it at any time, and its provider’s own privacy terms apply to it.

Photos and short clips you keep as moments stay on your device and in your own iCloud. DaySet’s servers never receive them. Voice notes from your Apple Watch are transcribed, then deleted.

Google user data

If you connect Google Calendar to DaySet, we ask Google for one permission: read-only access to your calendars (calendar.readonly), plus your basic profile (your email) to name the connection.

• What we read: for events from yesterday through the next 14 days, the event title, start and end time, location, whether it’s all-day, your response status, how many people are invited (a count, not names or emails), and a link back to the event in Google Calendar.
• How we use it: only to show your day, to size your plan to your free time, and to mention a new or moved event in your morning Brief. If you ask DaySet’s coach to help plan your day, event titles and times may be included in that request (see AI features below).
• How long we keep it: it’s a rolling window. As an event falls outside yesterday-to-14-days-ahead, or is deleted in Google, we delete our copy. When you disconnect Google Calendar or delete your account, we delete the stored events and our access tokens.
• What we never do: we never write to, change, or delete anything in your Google account; never sell Google data; never use it for advertising; never use it to train AI models; and never let people read it, except with your explicit permission for support, where security or law requires, or in aggregated, anonymized form for operations.

Daddish’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Daddish apps don’t request access to Gmail. If you want your email summarized in your Brief, your own agent can do that with its own permission to your inbox and post the result to DaySet.

AI features

Some features use AI models: the morning Brief, the planning coach, turning a brain dump into tasks, voice transcription, and summaries. To do this, we send the part of your data a feature needs (for example, the tasks and events for the day you’re planning) to an AI provider and show you the result. We use Anthropic and OpenAI through their business APIs, under terms that bar them from training on data we send. You can turn off coaching and AI insights in Settings, and the apps still work without them.

Who we share it with

We don’t sell or rent personal information, and we don’t share it for advertising. We share it only with service providers that run Daddish for us, under contracts that limit their use to that job:

• Supabase: database, sign-in, and file storage
• Vercel: hosting
• Anthropic and OpenAI: AI features and voice transcription
• Resend: sign-in codes and reminder emails
• Beehiiv: the Daddish newsletter
• Apple and Google: push notifications and sign-in, when you use them

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect someone’s safety, or as part of a merger or sale of Daddish LLC. In a sale, this policy’s commitments would continue to apply to your existing data.

Where it’s stored and how it’s protected

App data is stored in the United States. It is encrypted in transit and at rest. Each household’s data is walled off at the database level, and server credentials never reach your device. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your data, we’ll tell you as the law requires.

Your choices and rights

• See and export it: in DaySet, Settings → Your data → Export my data gives you one file with everything.
• Correct it: edit anything in the app.
• Disconnect things: disconnect Google, Apple, or your agent in Settings at any time. You can also revoke Google access at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
• Delete it: email help@daddish.com from your account’s address. We’ll delete your account and its data within 30 days, and backups roll off within a further 30 days. Account deletion inside the app is coming soon. Newsletter deletion requests are honored in Beehiiv.

We honor these requests for everyone, wherever you live.

How long we keep things

We keep your app content while your account is open, so your journal and history stay yours. Calendar data follows the rolling window above. Service logs are kept for up to 30 days. Your newsletter signup stays until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.

Children

Daddish is for adults. It isn’t directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their information. Parents often write about their kids (“Book the dentist for Maya”). That’s your content, handled like the rest of your data.

Changes

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we’ll tell app users in the app or by email before it takes effect, and we’ll revise the date at the top of this page.
