Terms

These are the terms between you and Daddish LLC, a North Carolina company (“we”), for using daddish.com and the Daddish apps, starting with DaySet. By using them you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use them.

The website

Daddish.com is an informational site about the Daddish project and the Daddish 180 public experiment. It shares one person’s real experience, opinions, and field notes. Its content documents a personal experiment, and results in one life may not transfer to yours. You are welcome to quote and link with attribution. Please don’t republish substantial portions without permission. Signing up for Daddish emails is covered by our privacy policy and by the terms of Beehiiv, the email platform we use. You can unsubscribe at any time. Links to other sites are for convenience and aren’t endorsements.

Using Daddish apps

You must be at least 18, or the age of majority where you live, to use a Daddish app. You’re responsible for your account, for keeping your sign-in secure, and for what happens under it. Tell us at help@daddish.com if you think someone else has access.

Your content is yours

Everything you put into a Daddish app (tasks, plans, journal entries, captures, recordings) stays yours. You give us a limited permission to store, copy, process, and display it only as needed to run the app for you and the people you share a household with. That includes sending it to the service providers listed in our privacy policy. This permission ends when you delete the content or your account, except for backups that roll off on their normal schedule. You’re responsible for having the right to what you put in. If you add information about other people, such as family members, please treat it with care.

Connected services and your agent

Daddish apps can connect to services you already use, such as Google Calendar, Apple Calendar and Reminders, and your own AI agent. When you connect one, you authorize the app to access it as described on screen and in our privacy policy, and that service’s own terms still apply. Your own agent acts on your behalf when you authorize it, and you’re responsible for what you ask it to do. We aren’t responsible for a third-party service or agent, or for what it does outside Daddish.

AI and coaching

Daddish apps use AI to draft briefs, suggest plans, and summarize things. AI can be wrong, so check anything that matters. Coaching in Daddish is for everyday planning and habits. It is not medical, mental-health, legal, or financial advice, and it is no substitute for a professional. If you are in crisis, contact local emergency services.

Fair use

Please don’t break the law or use Daddish to harm, harass, or deceive anyone. Don’t try to get into accounts or data that aren’t yours, or probe, overload, or disrupt the service. Don’t reverse-engineer it except where the law allows. Don’t scrape or resell it, or use it to build a competing service. Don’t upload malware or content you don’t have the right to share. We may suspend or close accounts that do these things.

Our part

The Daddish name, the apps, their design, and their software belong to Daddish LLC. While you follow these terms, we give you a personal, non-transferable right to use the apps. They are early and changing, and some features are marked beta. We’ll give reasonable notice before removing something significant you rely on, when we can.

Price

Daddish apps are free during the beta. If we introduce paid plans, we’ll show the price and terms before you’re charged, and you’ll choose whether to subscribe. Nothing you already have is charged without your consent.

Ending things

You can stop using the apps and delete your account at any time (see our privacy policy). We may suspend or end your access if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, or if we have to stop offering an app. Where we can, we’ll give you notice and time to export your data. The sections on your content, no warranty, limits on liability, indemnity, and law and disputes survive the end of this agreement.

No warranty

The site and the apps are provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don’t promise anything will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that a reminder will always arrive on time. Don’t rely on a Daddish app alone for anything critical, such as medication or legal deadlines.

Limits on liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Daddish LLC isn’t liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim about Daddish is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $50. Some places don’t allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.

Indemnity

If a third party brings a claim against us because of your content or your violation of these terms or the law, you agree to cover our reasonable costs of that claim.

Law and disputes

North Carolina law governs these terms, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be heard in the state or federal courts located in North Carolina, and you and we consent to their jurisdiction. Before filing anything, please email help@daddish.com so we can try to sort it out informally first.

Changes

We may update these terms. For material changes to the app terms, we’ll tell app users in the app or by email at least 14 days before they take effect. If you keep using the apps after that, you accept the new terms. We’ll always revise the date at the top of this page.

The rest

These terms and our privacy policy are the whole agreement between us. If a part turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still applies. Not enforcing a term right away doesn’t waive it. You can’t transfer these terms without our consent. We may transfer them as part of a merger or sale of Daddish LLC. If you downloaded a Daddish app from Apple’s App Store, Apple isn’t a party to these terms and isn’t responsible for the app, but Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of them. Apple’s standard end-user license terms also apply.
